Application Server Market Share for 2003 and 2004
The dominant players in the J2EE application server market in 2003 were IBM
and BEA. Together they had almost 2/3 of J2EE application server sales. Total
application server sales were $1.192 billion.

were again in the top two positions, although BEA lost market share with a $16
million decrease in annual sales.
